Effective January 1, 2011, garbage stickers will no longer be needed when putting out garbage for pickup.

Owners of residences in the Town of Angelica will notice that the special charge on the 2010 Tax Statements for garbage collection has increased from $50.00 to $65.00. The town board has always felt the fairest way to pay for putting out garbage has been the use of garbage stickers. However, we have lost the outlet for sale of stickers on the southwest corner of the town and have found that there has not been a corresponding increase in the sale of stickers elsewhere and apparently people are putting out garbage without using stickers. The additional charge of $15.00 would cover the cost of 20 stickers (or less than one sticker per the 26 pickup days). In addition, residents will not have to take the time or travel to obtain stickers.
