Special Meeting

June 27, 2005

 

 

Town Officials Present:  Chairman, Richard Smith, Supervisors, Clifford Powers and Wilbert Lewis, and Clerk, Janet Powers

Town Officials Absent:  Treasurer, Lisa Matuszak

Others Present:  Ben Maroszek,  Buck McKeefry  and Jason McKeefry

           

Town of Angelica Chairman Smith called the meeting to order at 7:00 a.m. 

 

The purpose of the special meeting was to receive and open bids for reconstruction work to be done on approximately one mile of Town Hall going east from its intersection with Elm Road to its intersection with Green Valley Road and approximately one mile of Willow Road going north from its intersection with Deer Drive to its intersection with Town Hall Drive.

 

Bids were opened at 7:05 p.m.   The bids were for reconstruction work with a per-ton bid on an estimate of 3,000 tons of ¾” stone for Town Hall Drive and 3,000 tons of ¾’ stone and 200 tons of 8” to 10” stone on Willow Road.

 

Three contractors submitted bids.  MOTION (Lewis/Powers/PASSED UNANIMOUSLY) to accept the bid from Maroszek Excavating, Inc. in the amount of $40,750.00 for Town Hall Drive and McKeefry & Sons Inc. in the amount of $41,340.00 for Willow Road.

 

Representatives from Maroszek Excavating and McKeefry & Sons both indicated the work could be started near the end of July or early August and be completed before the start of school in September.

 

MOTION (/Powers/Lewis/PASSED) to adjourn the meeting.  The meeting was adjourned at 7:15 p.m.
