Special Meeting ~Town of Angelica Board of Supervisors

Town Officials Present: Chairman, Richard Smith, Supervisors Clifford Powers and Wilbert Lewis,

and Clerk, Janet Powers

Town Officials Absent: Treasurer Lisa Matuszak

Others Present: Larry Sperberg, Mike Maroszek, Lynn Nooyen and Jason McKeefry

Call to Order/Roll Call/Verification of Meeting Notice: Chairman Smith called the meeting to order at 1:30 p.m. followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. All officers except the Treasurer were present for Roll Call. [Clerk’s note: Agenda for the meeting was posted at three places in the town on Saturday, June 30, 2007 and an Advertisement for Bids appeared in the Tuesday, June 26, 2007 and Tuesday, July 3, 2007 issues of the SHAWANO LEADER]

Specific Matters for Discussion and Possible Action by Town Board in Open Session:

The purpose of the meeting was to receive and open bids for reconstruction work on one mile of Elm Road from its intersection with Nichols Drive north to its intersection with Town Line Road (Bid #1) and for reconstruction work on one mile of Maple Road from its intersection with State Highway 160 north to its intersection with Deer Drive (Bid #2). (Clerk’s Note: Letters were sent to contractors on June 20, 2007 in addition to Advertisement for Bids appearing in the SHAWANO LEADER on June 26, 2007 and July 3, 2007)

Five bids for Bid #1 were received from M & L Excavating, LLC, Maroszek Excavating, Inc., Performance Excavating, Inc. and L.J. Sperberg Construction, Inc., with the low bid of $21,600 for reconstruction work and $6.50 per ton for ¾” crushed stone received from M & L Excavating.

Five bids for Bid #2 were received from M & L Excavating, LLC, Maroszek Excavating, Inc., Performance Excavating, Inc. and L.J. Sperberg Construction, Inc., with the low bid of $15,760 for reconstruction work and $6.50 per ton for ¾” crushed stone received from M & L Excavating.

Adjournment: MOTION (Lewis/Smith/PASSED) to adjourn the meeting. The meeting was adjourned at 2:00 p.m.
