Informational Meeting for Property Owners on Elm Road & Maple Road

June 21, 2007

Town Officials Present: Chairman, Richard Smith, Supervisor Clifford Powers, Supervisor Wilbert Lewis

and Clerk Janet Powers

Property Owners on Elm Road: Ralph Styczynski , Chester Siolka, Bryan Kolodziej and Rudolph Kolodziej

Property Owners on Maple Road: John Kielar, Jr., Lloyd & Geraldine Bonnie and Dorothy Grzeskowiak

This meeting of property owners/residents on Elm Road and Maple Road was called to have discussion and receive information in regard to planned reconstruction of Elm Road from its intersection with Nichols Drive north to its intersection with Town Line Road and Maple Road from its intersection with STH-160 north to its intersection with Deer Drive. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Richard Smith at 7:00 p.m.

Chairman Smith brought the following to the attention of those present:

• the two roads will be widened to a 4 rod road – can measure 33 feet from the center of the present road to determine the new road right of way
• new culverts will be provided when replacing existing culverts for driveways – if a driveway is blacktopped, the town will blacktop the portion of the driveway that is in the road right of way
• the property owner is to take care of moving any fences and the town will reimburse for the cost and the town will pay $50.00 per tree if a tree has to be removed because of the reconstruction
• if money is available the binder or first coat of blacktop will be laid this year
• if the property knows where survey stakes are, move them back to at least 33 feet from the centerline of the present road and mark them
• ditches will be seeded down
• after reconstruction is finished the town will not be picking any stones left in the town road ditches
• mail boxes will be taken care of by the contractor during the reconstruction of the roads

Some of the concerns raised by those present were:

· Ralph Styzinski ~~ possibility of putting a 6” tile in the road ditch in front of his property to take care of water that presently stands in the road ditch

· Dorothy Grzeskowiak ~~ would like a field entrance added ~~ was told to get a driveway/culvert permit and could possible purchase a used culvert for the entrance

· Lloyd Bonnin ~~ had a concern about the new culvert recently put in that had been damaged by the snow plow

· Bryan Kolodziej ~~ offered to let the town take some dirt from his property on the hill in front of his place

· Chester Siolka ~~ would take dirt if there is any extra ~~ culvert for a field entrance

· Joe Kielar ~~ has a field tile that is in the town road ditch and under the road on Maple Road

Chairman Smith also informed those present that they should check with him regarding any concerns before construction of the roads start.

The informational meeting was closed at 8:00 p.m.
