Call to Order/Roll
Call/Verification of Meeting Notice: Chairman Smith called the meeting to order at
9:35 a.m. followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. All officers except the Treasurer were present for Roll
Call. Smith verified with Clerk Powers
that proper posting of the meeting had been done. The agenda was posted the afternoon of May 25, 2007 and also
faxed to the Shawano Leader.
Approval or Modification of Agenda: MOTION
(Powers/Lewis/PASSED) to approve the agenda as posted.
Specific Matters for
Discussion and Possible Action by Town Board in Open Session:
The purpose of the
meeting was to review proposals received for delivery and placement of 4” of ¾”
gravel to a width of 19’ on approximately 1.34 miles of Carroll Road. (Clerk’s Note: Letters were sent to contractors on May 18, 2007 and the notice
of entering into a public contract appeared in the May 21, 2007 issue of the
SHAWANO LEADER and the same notice was posted on May 18, 2007.)
An estimated cost was
obtained from the Shawano County Highway Department and four proposals were
received from private contractors. MOTION
(Powers/Lewis/PASSED) to accept the proposal from Michels Materials to deliver
and place ¾” gravel on 1.34 miles of Carroll Road with a depth of 4” and width
of 19’ at a quoted rate of $5.94 per ton.
Adjournment: MOTION (Lewis/Powers/PASSED) to adjourn the meeting. The meeting was adjourned at 10:10 a.m.
