Call to Order/Roll
Call/Verification of Meeting Notice: Chairman Smith called the meeting to order at
10:00 a.m. followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. All officers except the Treasurer were present for Roll
Call. [Clerk’s note: Agenda for the meeting was posted at three
places in the town on Friday, September 21, 2007 and also faxed to the SHAWANO
LEADER on September 21, 2007] MOTION (Lewis/Powers/PASSED) to approve the
agenda as posted.
Public Comment: MOTION (Powers/Lewis/PASSED) to open the public comment portion of the meeting. Melvin Raatz of R & R Assessing
Services and James Danielson of Accurate Appraisal were present and both
parties gave comments on services they could provide the town in regard to
property assessment revaluations. MOTION
(Powers/Lewis/PASSED) to close the public comment portion of the meeting.
MOTION (Lewis/Powers/PASSED BY ROLL CALL VOTE
OF: Lewis-yes, Powers-yes, Smith-yes) to go into closed session pursuant to
Wisconsin Statutes 19.86 (1) (e) to review and discuss proposals received for a
2008 full assessment revaluation and assessment maintenance in 2009 and 2010
service contract. The town board went
into closed session at 10:30 a.m.
MOTION (Powers/Lewis/PASSED BY ROLL CALL VOTE
OF: Lewis-yes, Powers-yes, Smith-yes) to end the closed-session portion of the
meeting and go into open session. The
town went into open session at 11:30 a.m.
MOTION
(Powers/Lewis/PASSED UNANIMOUSLY) to accept the proposal of Accurate
Appraisal, LLC dependent upon clarification that a full revaluation consists of
inspection of both the exterior and interior of all buildings and having a
payment schedule of twelve equal monthly payments of $3,291.67 starting on the
second Monday of January, 2008 through the second Monday of December, 2008 and
twenty-four equal monthly payments of
$416.67 starting the second Monday of January, 2009 through the second
Monday of December, 2010.
Adjournment: MOTION (Lewis/Powers/PASSED) to adjourn the meeting. The meeting was adjourned at 11:35 a.m.
