Town Chairman, Richard Smith, called the meeting to order at 6:15 p.m. Present as Board of Review members were Richard Smith, Chairman, Members Supervisors Wilbert Lewis and Greg P. Van Asten, and Janet Powers, Clerk. The chairman verified with the Clerk that proper notice of the Board of Review had been done.

The assessment roll had not been completed at this time. MOTION (Lewis/Van Asten/PASSED) to adjourn the 2009 Board of Review to July 27, 2009 at 6:00 p.m.

The first session of the Town of Angelica Board of Review concluded at 6:20 p.m.

Town of Angelica Board of Review

July 27, 2009

The first session of Board of Review for the Town of Angelica was held at 6:15 p.m., June 8, 2009 and was adjourned to July 27, 2009. Town Chairman, Richard Smith, called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Present as Board of Review members were Richard Smith, Wilbert Lewis, Greg Van Asten and Janet Powers. Wayne Koehler of Accurate Appraisal LLC, the assessing firm for the Town of Angelica, was also present.

Wayne Koehler signed the Assessor’s Affidavit and gave it along with the 2009 Assessment Roll to Clerk Janet Powers.

MOTION (Lewis/Van Asten)PASSED to have Richard Smith serve as Chairman of the Town of Angelica Board of Review. MOTION (Van Asten/Lewis) PASSED to have Wilbert Lewis serve as Vice-Chairman of the Town of Angelica Board of Review.

One Objection Form for Real Property Assessment was filed with the Clerk on July 24, 2009 by Chong Tou & Youa Lee Thao for property parcels 004-12410-0010 and 004-12410-0020 with an address of N4227 State Highway 32, Krakow WI 54137. Chong Tou & Youa Lee Thao did not appear at Board of Review. An issue with assessment of agricultural land was corrected by Accurate Appraisal and because of this the Thaos no longer had an objection to their assessment.

MOTION (Lewis/Van Asten) PASSED to close the Board of Review. The Board of Review for 2009 was closed at 8:00 p.m.

[Clerk’s Notes: The Board of Review Member Training Affidavit showing that Richard Smith, Wilbert Lewis and Janet Powers had attended a training program on 02-08-2008 was sent to the Wisconsin Department of Revenue on July 24, 2009…also ads giving notification of the change in dates for Open Book and Board of Review were in the May 22, 2009 issue of the Shawano Leader and the July 2, 2009 issue of the Pulaski News and were posted in three sites within the town on Friday, May 22, 2009. Open Book was held on Thursday, July 9, 2009 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Town of Angelica Town Hall. The proceedings of this Board of Review were tape recorded and the tape is on file in the Town Clerk’s office located at W1569 County Road C, Pulaski WI 54162]
