Budget Hearing for Proposed 2010 Town of Angelica Budget

Town Officials Present: Chairman Richard Smith, Supervisors Wilbert Lewis and Greg Van Asten, and Clerk Janet Powers

Absent: Treasurer Lisa Matuszak

Others Present: Clifford Powers and Elmer Kraning

The Budget Hearing was opened at 6:30 p.m. by Town Chairman, Richard Smith. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. [Clerk’s Note: Posting of the Budget Summary and Notice of Public Budget Hearing was done on November 2, 2009 at the two post offices and the town hall and also put on the town’s website.] A copy of the proposed 2010 budget was given to all those in attendance.

The Chairman opened the hearing to questions from those present.

The proposed tax levy of $371,229.00 for 2009 taxes was arrived at by using a mil rate of $3.052865044 per thousand. The Aggregate Assessed Valuation is set at $121,600,200.00. The proposed tax levy of $371,229.00 is 3.00 per cent over the actual tax levy for 2008 taxes, which amount is within the State of Wisconsin tax levy limit.

The Chairman closed the budget hearing at 7:05 p.m.
