Call to
Order/Roll Call/Verification of Meeting Notice:
Chairman Smith called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m.. All officers except the Treasurer were
present for Roll Call.

note: The agenda for this meeting and the advertisement for bids were posted at
three places in the town on July 23, 2010 and an Advertisement for Bids
appeared in the July 21, 2010 and July 22, 2010 issues of the SHAWANO
LEADER. Also, letters were sent to
contractors on July 19, 2010]
Specific
Matters for Discussion and Possible Action by Town Board in Open Session:
The purpose of the meeting was to receive and open
bids for reconstruction work to be done on one mile of Green Valley Road south
of its intersection with Cuba Drive. Six
bids for reconstruction of Green Valley Road were submitted. They were from Jackie Foster, Inc., M & L
Excavating LLC, Allan’s Excavating LLC, Maroszek
Excavating, Inc., McKeefry & Sons, Inc. and
Performance Excavating, Inc. The low
bid submitted was from Allan’s
Excavating LLC in the amount of $32,000.00 for reconstruction work and
$15,780.00 for an estimated 2,000 ton of ¾” crushed stone at $7.89 per ton for
a total bid price of $47,780.00.
It was pointed out by Chairman Smith that this
project could possibly be delayed and rebid next year if there is no
improvement in the existing wet conditions in the reconstruction area of Green
Valley Road in the next month. No
motion to accept a bid was made at this meeting.
Adjournment: The meeting was adjourned at approximately 10:45
p.m.
