Call to
Order/Roll Call/Verification of Meeting Notice:
Chairman Smith called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m.. All officers except the Treasurer were
present for Roll Call.

note: The agenda for this meeting was posted on July 8, 2011 and the
advertisement for bids was posted at three places in the town on June 21, 2011
and an Advertisement for Bids appeared in the July 6, 2011 issue of the SHAWANO
LEADER. Also, letters were sent to
contractors on June 16, 2011]
Specific
Matters for Discussion and Possible Action by Town Board in Open Session:
The purpose of the meeting was to receive and open
bids for reconstruction work to be done on one mile of Cedar Road north of its
intersection with Main Street, Zachow, to its
intersection with Beech Drive. Five bids
for reconstruction of Cedar Road were submitted. They were from Jackie Foster, Inc., M & L
Excavating LLC, Maroszek Excavating, Inc., McKeefry
& Sons, Inc. and Performance Excavating, Inc. The low bid submitted was from Jackie Foster, Inc. in the amount
of $21.250.00 for reconstruction work, $22.350.00 for an estimated 3,000 ton of
¾” crushed stone at $7.45 per ton and $1,000.00 for silt fencing for a total
bid price of $44,600.00.
MOTION
(Lewis/Van Asten/PASSED UNANIMOUSLY) to
accept the bid from Jackie Foster, Inc. in the amount of $44,600.00 for the
reconstruction of approximately one mile of Cedar Road from its intersection
with Main Street, Zachow, north to its intersection
with Beech Drive.
Adjournment: MOTION (Lewis/Van Asten/PASSED) to adjourn the meeting. The meeting was adjourned at 10:30 a.m.
