Budget Hearing for Proposed 2012 Town of Angelica Budget

Town Officials Present: Chairman Richard Smith, Supervisors Wilbert Lewis and Greg Van Asten, Treasurer Lisa Matuszak and Clerk Janet Powers

Absent: None

Others Present: Richie Ferfecki, Elmer Kraning, Brian Eckberg and Tom Kuczer

The Budget Hearing was opened at 6:00 p.m. by Town Chairman, Richard Smith. [Clerk’s Note: Posting of the Budget Summary and Notice of Public Budget Hearing was done on October 29, 2011 at the Krakow post office, Hilbert Street in Zachow and the town hall and also put on the town’s website.] A copy of the proposed 2012 budget was available to all those in attendance.

The Chairman opened the hearing to questions from those present.

The proposed tax levy of $382,366.00 for 2011 taxes was arrived at by using an estimated mil rate of $3.137503641 per thousand. The Statement of Assessment for the Town of Angelica had not yet been received from the Wisconsin Department of Revenue and an estimated Aggregate Assessed Valuation of $121,869,500.00 was used. The proposed tax levy of $382,366.00 is the same as the tax levy for 2010 taxes, which amount is the State of Wisconsin tax levy limit.

The Chairman closed the budget hearing at 6:17 p.m.
