GARBAGE & RECYCLING
The Town of Angelica provides every other week pickup of garbage and recyclables. Pickup service is provided by
GFL Environmental. This is an automated route, so carts placed side by side will remain unserviceable.

- Recyclables and garbage will not be picked up if recyclables are found in the garbage or garbage is found in the recyclables.
- All town residents are provided with one cart for recycling and one cart for garbage.
- In the event you relocate, these carts are to stay with the property.
Garbage
- Garbage must be put in clear, white, or black plastic bags.
- All garbage placed in carts shall be even with the top of the can. Do not stack garbage above the can.
- All items must be placed in the cart in order to be collected.
- Carts are placed within 3 feet of the street.
- Carts are to be separated by 3 feet to 5 feet apart or on opposite sides of driveway.
- Cart handles and wheels are to face away from the street.
Recycling
- Recyclables are to be loose inside the cart.
- Recyclables should be clean and you can mix glass, plastic, paper, cardboard, metal, etc. all in same cart.
- Boxes should be flattened.
- Please to not use any plastic bags in the recycling cart, as plastic bags become entangled in the equipment at the Recycling Center.

The town receives an annual recycling grant from the State. The grant requires a certain amount of recycling per resident and if the town does not meet the target amount, we can be in danger of losing this grant. If that happens the town will have to use money from the tax levy to offset this loss of funding.

Yard Waste
Yard waste such as leaves, grass clippings or very small brush branches cannot be put out for pickup.
The Shawano City Landfill will accept yard waste at its Rusch Road location in the Shawano Industrial Park for a fee. Larger branches such as tree branches can also be taken to the landfill but they are considered wood and there may be a charge.

- Replacement carts will be $100.
- Extra garbage and/or recycling carts are $75 each and billed yearly.
