TOWN OF ANGELICA PLANNING COMMISSION

The Town of Angelica Planning Commission was organized in September of 1997 for the purpose of that commission giving their advisory recommendation to the Town of Angelica Board of Supervisors in regard to:
  1. Requests for zone changes
  2. Requests for variances to the County Zoning Ordinance No. 102 requirements
  3. Requests for conditional uses under the County Zoning Ordinance No. 102 
  4. Requests for plats 

In addition, the Town of Angelica Planning Commission Chair reviews Certified Survey Maps forwarded to the town by the Shawano County Property Lister and either approves or disapproves the survey maps. 

The Town of Angelica is under Shawano County Zoning but the above requests come before the Town of Angelica Planning Commission which gives its advisory recommendation to the Town Board, which board in turns makes an advisory recommendation to the Shawano County Planning Development and Zoning Committee.

The Town of Angelica Planning Commission meets on the first Tuesday of the month when requests have come to their committee for review.

Certified Survey Map Procedures   (CSM)                Click here for flow chart

A certified survey map (CSM) shall be submitted to the Planning Department for review and approval only after a Preliminary Consultation has been conducted with County Planning land Zoning staff prior to submission of the draft CSM.  The Preliminary Consultation can reduce potential delays by identifying requirements per county ordinances and any special considerations for the CSM.  After the preliminary Consultation the draft CSM can be submitted.  The Planning Department will circulate the map to appropriate agencies or departments for their review and recommendations concerning matters within their jurisdiction.  Their recommendations shall be transmitted to the Planning Department within fourteen (14) days from the date the map is sent by the Planning Department.

The town's approval of a Certified Survey Map will be done at the town board's regular monthly meeting.  Meetings are held on the second Monday of each month.  The property owner or surveyor is requested to be present at this meeting to answer any questions.  The board approves the CSM by motion and the Town of Angelica Planning Commission Chair signs off for the town on the original Certified Survey Map.
